Beauty, life, friends.
SEPHORA VIB PICKS
It’s my favorite time of year! The Sephora VIB Sale (Oct. 28 to Nov. 7) happens but twice a year, and it’s my time to stock up on favorites, try some new-new, and start holiday shopping.
This year I’ve spent A LOT of money on travel, so my beauty shopping has diversified. There’s a lot more drugstore and Amazon beauty in the mix now, so I’m not placing regular orders on Sephora.com like I used to. I even took the Sephora app off my phone to resist the urge, which is strong in this one.
Currently, my Sephora shopping is primarily done in-store (my local 99th and Columbus) to restock constants like The Ordinary’s moisturizer and Mario’s liquid liner.
But… I have some life changes in the works that will alleviate most of my travel expenses, which means one thing for the Sephora app/.com: I’m back, baby.
I’m placing a big order and ofc I’m sharing it with you. (Did you know “ofc” stands for “of fucking course?" I just learned that but I’m still using it as if it means “of course” because I think that’s what most people my age and above hear when they read “ofc.”)
Enough chit-chat. VIB time! Here's what's in my cart. I could go on for ages about ALL the things I recommend, but I've kept this list focused on what I'm actually buying.
Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder
I love Danessa's cream blush and I've been curious about this for months. The promise of glowy skin with oil control and blurring sunk its teeth in my like Dracula.
Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation
I fell in love with this during Europe Part II. A few drops of shade 6N mixed with SPF is the PERFECT amount of radiant coverage. I was using a sample but I'm ready to make her mine.
Olaplex No. 5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner
I sleep around with a lot of shampoos but I'm married to this conditioner. I rarely get haircuts or trims because I like my length and I hate layers or style of any kind so haircuts are... pointless? The thing about that, though, is I need a super moisturizing conditioner for my dead ends. He's my rock.
The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Hair Serum
This has a similar peptide complex to The Ordinary's brow and lash serum. Plus, a friend who formulates hair growth products told me the ingredients look solid. Must try!
